Bennett’s Birthday

Yesterday was Bennett’s birthday and we have had an awesome weekend celebrating-and I just simply realized how much I completely and totally love him-and for so many reasons. To name a few…

He has a great smile.

Has never met a stranger-and had never met this guy until yesterday.

He is incredibly smart. But that's not just me being biased. He only left two pegs, which according to the game Leave two and you're purty smart!

And he is the absolute best hugger 🙂

As for Bennett’s birthday- he wanted to go to lynchburg and eat at a japanese buffet and see Family Force Five in concert so that’s what we did. We got there early, walked around the mall, shopped, ate lunch at the japanese buffett, walked all over campus to work off the japanese buffet, visited some friends in their dorms, got a mango smoothie, went to the block party, got incredibly sweaty jumping up and down in the mass of people watching the concert, ate kids meals at crackerbarrel, and crasheddd when we got home.

Phew. Tiring. But all worth it, especially when Bennett told me it was the best birthday he has ever had. I guess we can considered Bennett’s 22nd birthday a success.

While we’re waiting.

“How much of human life is lost in waiting”- Ralph Waldo Emerson.

By the worlds view, perhaps.

But by God’s standards, waiting is what this life is all about. And what we do while waiting.

So, this blog is about us-Bennett and Carrie Wampler- and our lives while we are waiting. For His strength, His direction, and ultimately- His return.
